DERMAL FILLERS

Injectable fillers – Soft-tissue fillers – Soft-tissue augmentation

Dermal fillers provide a safe and effective strategy for diminishing or erasing early signs of aging. The passage of time, exposure to the sun, and heredity all contribute to a loss of fullness in our hands and faces. As a result, fine lines and wrinkles become more visible and other areas appear sunken.

An experienced cosmetic surgeon can help you achieve a more youthful appearance with dermal fillers. There are several types of fillers that have been approved by the FDA for these specialized applications. When you discuss your aesthetic goals with your cosmetic surgeon, he or she can recommend a plan that best fits your situation.

Introduction

Some of the dermal fillers that are currently approved include:

  • Calcium hydroxyl apatite
  • Collagen
  • Hyaluronic acid gel
  • Poly-L-lactic acid
