VAGINAL REJUVENATION

Female Genital Plastic Surgery – Vaginoplasty – Labiaplasty – Vulvaplasty

The natural process of childbirth stretches the muscles and tissues of the vagina, vulva, and labia. These and similar changes, whether due to giving birth, aging, or fluctuation in weight, can have a negative impact on sexual intimacy such as decreased sensation, pain, or soreness during sex. In addition, some women experience pain while riding bicycles, horses or other high-impact exercises.

Introduction

Vaginal rejuvenation aims to improve the appearance, size, function, and reduce pain related to changes in female genitalia. There are several procedures that may be included under this heading:

  • Vaginoplasty – tightening of the vagina
  • Labiaplasty – reshaping of the labia
  • Vulvaplasty – reshaping of the vulva

Vaginal rejuvenation can provide renewed self-confidence and comfort for affected women.

Who Is a Candidate for Vaginal Rejuvenation?

  • The contours of her genital structures have become lax or stretched out.
  • She experiences soreness or pain with sexual activity or exercise.
  • Her sensation during intercourse has been significantly reduced after having children.

  • She can feel more comfortable when exercising and during intercourse.
  • Improving her self-perception and comfort can enhance her quality of life.
  • Anesthesia will be administered.
  • During a vaginoplasty procedure, excess skin will be removed, and the tissues of the vaginal wall will be tightened with sutures.
